Davidson & Associates Construction Analysts, Inc. is seeking an Associate Architect with at least 10 years of experience with emphasis on multi-family and mixed use projects. For a candidate to be considered, the architect must be licensed, must have appreciable experience managing projects independently, must have collaborative experience being able to coordinate with other concurrent projects, and develop a client base for the firm. This is a long term employment opportunity that allows for development into a Senior Forensic Architect role within the company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of more than one area highlighted as a specialty of our firm which is highlighted on our website and be willing to travel regionally or nationally in the event a project requires travel.
The Associate Architect position requires developing, building, and maintaining client relationships, interacting and consulting with design and construction professionals, and flexibility to be able to work independently on projects and concurrently on other projects with project managers depending on project types. An ideal candidate for this position would already have appreciable experience in developing their own client base, leading project teams, being able to start in on complex assignments, working independently and with other project managers at need, and demonstrating an understanding of at least one of the primary focuses of Davidson & Associates.

Skills, Education, and Experience
The following points are essential to be considered for the position:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Licensure as a Registered Architect in at least one state required
A minimum of 10 years direct experience in the development of design and detailing of building envelope assemblies, construction documents, and extensive construction administration experience required
Previous building envelope design/consulting experience or experience in forensic investigation of roofs, fenestrations, curtain walls, plaza decks, and below grade waterproofing systems preferred
Construction document development experience with design software and experience with AutoCAD and BIM required
Research experience including historical preservation, construction technology, and code issues is highly preferred
Ability to safely work at heights and safely use and/or operate scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment as well as being able to lift and carry instruments and equipment up to 50 lbs. is preferred for this position
Ability to develop scope of services and preparation of proposals strongly preferred
Accessibility (ADA), PCA, and CLM service experience preferred
Strong computer skills and established experience with Microsoft Office software is essential for this position
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are required
Various standard administrative tasks and architectural duties will apply to this position as required by projects
Some travel may be required dependent on project involvement
