As a Product Trainer with Verscene, you will bring your technical skills and expertise to our Stone Coated Steel Roofing product lines, creating a customized approach to field based training programs. You will work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product to help deliver high-quality training for contractors, distributors, sales, and more. You’ll also be the subject matter expert for new customer installations that need technical expertise.
In this position you’ll report directly to the Director of Product Market Development and work in Verscene’s headquarters located in Minneapolis (Highway 394 & Louisiana Boulevard).
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Be the technical expert for designated Stone Coated Steel Roofing products
Design and implement product and application training for roofing contractors, distributors, architects and Quarrix sales team and other departments, both in-the-field and classroom setting.
Learn the installation and technical aspects to train on Ventilation and Composite Roofing products
Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product to develop and deliver product training.
Facilitate on site/in field installation and product training
Attend new customer installations, installations that are unique or need technical expertise
Attend industry tradeshows and provide product demonstrations or training seminars
Continually give feedback to improve product and the product installation
Manage the design, development and delivery of field based training programs, tools and materials in a variety of learning formats
Build and continually update training content, including facilitator’s guides, learning aides, and other tools
For all field based training, determine the right delivery approach for each initiative or training (on site, online, webinar, classroom, and other).
Provide market and customer feedback to the product and marketing teams
Develop and establish training evaluation metrics to demonstrate the training is having the desired business impact including tracking and reporting on training outcomes.
Keep current on training design and methodology.

To qualify, you will bring:
A minimum 5 years’ experience installing and/or in field training of Stone Coated Steel specialty roofing products
Is/was a roofing contractor or manufacturer representative where installation and/or installation training was a key job function
Other specialty roofing installation experience a plus
Training background and experience
Can write training and help build/advise on tool development
Presentation skills in both small and large group formats
Excellent verbal and written skills
Working knowledge in MS Office (especially Powerpoint)
Ability to travel at least 70%
Bachelor’s degree or Accredited Vocational Degree preferred
