1. Performs assignments under limited supervision. 2. Directs the work of employees under the direction of the supervisor. 3. Under the direction of the supervisor, assumes general responsibility for the completion of assignments. 4. Determines the manpower and material requirements and the means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments and recommends changes. 5. Secures materials, supplies and equipment. 6. Lays out and constructs work such as concrete form construction, roughin-in, framing-building and roof, exterior finishing, interior finishing and foundations. 7. Frames, installs, adjusts, repairs and fabricates items such as partitions, walls, ceilings, floors, windows, all doors, stairs, cabinets, counters, gates, platforms, shelves, furniture and new installation of locks sets including all hardware. 8. Performs incidental repair or installation of glass in conjunction with the repair or installation of doors or window sash. 9. Maintains clean work area and/or cleans job site. Observes safety standards and practices. 10. Directs and trains lower labor grade employees. 11. Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification.
