Account Manager (1900548) – Minnesota
Where the Chemistry Happens
This position has a major role in continuing the growth of Construction related materials with an emphasis on Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Systems in the Roofing, Residential and Commercial Wall Markets. You will be assigned specific identified target accounts and will be responsible to initiate contact, promote BASF Construction & SPF products and services, and secure new business volumes. Additionally, you will pursue other "non-identified" targets to secure the same.
The Territory will be the Upper Midwest, US. This job requires a good amount of traveling (>50%) and overnight stays in the territory. Proper PPE equipment is required when visiting job sites. While not traveling to see customers, you will work from a home office and therefore be self-motivated and disciplined. You will be required to keep a safe and clean work environment and comply with all company policies, procedures and initiatives.

Formula for Success
Your high level of comfort meeting with high level individuals of organizations such as Architects, Building Owners, Roof Consultants, Product Specifiers and presenting BASF spray foam and construction related product offering will be essential as you present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
Demonstrating your direct external customer-facing experience, you will maintain and establish customer relationships with current and prospective clients. You will also follow up on new leads and referrals from field activities, trade shows, website and Marketing Group.
Your commitment to serving the customer will be evident as you manage account services by visiting customer facilities on a monthly basis or as needed where you will meet with different departments (Production, Quality department, Lab, Accounts Payable and Purchasing). You will also work with the customer to develop any other technologies to better their final product and coordinate with appropriate personnel to set up trials for any changes.
Successfully engaging across the business, you will coordinate with our company staff, production, development, technical service and anyone else necessary to maintain the account and/or close a sale.
Your strong organizational skills and technical product knowledge will be a valued asset as you maintain sales material and develop in company's product knowledge. You will also participate in marketing events such as Trade shows and seminars as required.
Working collaboratively in a team setting, you will identify customers' concerns and coordinate with personnel responsible in solving these issues.
Thinking strategically, you will prepare action plans and schedules to specify specific targets.
Your experience working with Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation will allow you to successfully sell to contractors and distributors in the roofing industry.
Your strong computer skills (specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, e-mail, web-based platforms) will be essential as you maintain sales reports on all visits to customers' sites and report on work being done with the customer and or prospective customer.
