The Assistant Vice President of the Women’s Health service line for Orlando Health Medical Group serves in a dyad partnership with the Managing Physician of the Women’s Health service line and has a direct reporting relationship to the Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of the Orlando Health Medical Group. The dyad leadership model is comprised of an administrative and specialty physician leader, both whom share equal responsibility for the effective management of the physician practices including the oversight of employed physicians, as well as the successful implementation of strategic, operational, and financial initiatives.
Essential Functions Include (but are not limited to):
Maintain a culture of trust between administration and providers
Demonstrate visibility with the providers and the ability to facilitate smooth communication between clinicians and operating executives through operational transparency
Work closely with the COO/VP of Operations and others on physician manpower plan to continuously identify recruitment opportunities and needs
Take ownership/leadership in aligning and recruiting physicians that best fit the organization and needs of the community
Drive process improvements to deliver consistent and standardized daily practice operations designed to improve clinical services, operational outcomes, patient throughput, and safety
Manage financial performance to ensure performance is meeting or exceeding to budget goals

In the Women’s Health Practice, we directly employ 40 physicians and 15 APPs representing General OB/GYN, OB Hospital Medicine, GYN Surgery, and Urological/GYN.
Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is dedicated exclusively to the unique healthcare needs of women and babies in a caring, family-centered environment. An extraordinary Orlando Health facility, Winnie Palmer is home to leading physicians, surgeons and specialists, as well as one of the nation’s largest and most successful neonatal intensive care units. Physicians provide specialized care that covers all facets of women's health, from comprehensive gynecological services and minimally invasive surgeries to obstetrics and high-risk pregnancies and births.
Winnie Palmer Hospital has a total of 350 beds, 142 of those beds are in the NICU. Their women’s emergency room or triage area is one of the largest and busiest in the country and has approximately 50,000 visits annually. Winnie Palmer also has a five bed ICU dedicated to women.
Winnie Palmer Hospital has one of the busiest and most experienced labor and delivery units in the nation, delivering over 14,000 babies every year. Winnie Palmer is the second largest birth volume hospital in the United States. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the largest in the United States under one roof.

Master's degree in Business, Health Administration or related healthcare field is required.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting, with five years of prior experience in healthcare leadership as a healthcare administrator. Women’s health ambulatory background is strongly preferred.
