The department of Student Financial Services (SFS) at West Virginia University is seeking applications for an ERP Application Administrator. As a key member of the SFS team, you will be responsible for meeting the technical needs of SFS across a variety of platforms. In this role, you will develop and maintain multiple systems, including but not limited to BANNER, ARGOS, Power BI, Academic Works, and Campus Logic. In addition to creating and monitoring daily and cyclical processes, this position will provide data analysis, report design, and development of systems and process to deliver a product to both internal and external users. The successful candidate will be able to function well both independently and as part of the team.

What you'll do:
Develop solutions on various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms. Facilitate and develop integrations between the CRM / BI platforms and BANNER.
Ensure system backups are maintained according to the University's backup policies.
Responsible for providing application administration, analysis, Tier 2 support and resolution for CRM/BI day-to-day operations and projects. This includes code migration, change control, application security, performance, and availability.
Perform testing, verification, and validation for internal custom code and vendor software releases, patches, and add-ons.
Develop and deploy complex information technology projects critical to the advancement of the University's mission to recruit, admit, and matriculate a high-quality student population.
Respond, research, and resolve unique technical processing issues/concerns brought forth by both end users and other technical staff.
Act as an advisor in obtaining industry standards/best practices to ensure the resulting product meets established requirements in identifying, developing, and resolving issues for internal and external customers.
Provide written procedures and system training to users striving to develop as functional users or as updates require.
Create and/or automate processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all offices within SFS. Collaborate with other University departments to increase efficiency and find solutions.
Research and advise on appropriate technology to meet project, unit, SFS, and/or University needs. Analyze user needs and make recommendations for implementation.
Create or update technical and functional documentation including but not limited to system configuration, infrastructure, and integration specifications.
Create profiles, roles, permissions, groups, sharing rules, field and organization level security settings, data mapping, data recovery, object modeling, and page layout design various platforms.
Perform data management tasks
Participate in change and release management process.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies
Develops and provides internal reports and dashboards on a regular and as needed basis as directed or requested to keep stakeholders informed utilizing ARGOS and SQL and other platforms.
Design and develop interfaces among a multitude of external vendors and internally supported systems which include but are not limited to BANNER, ARGOS, Campus Logic, and Academic Works.
Manage the operations for daily and special communications from Student Financial Support and Services to students across all campuses within West Virginia University.
Interpret and monitor application logs in order to identify potential issues and then work with appropriate units and vendors to mitigate any issues by creating support cases.
Collaborate with teams to proactively identify and recommend operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that meet business needs and ensure solutions that are usable, scalable, and easy to maintain.
Ensure the reliability, security, and stability of various platforms and software used to support business processed completed within SFSS. Follow security standards and protocols to complete regular internal system audits by collaborating with team.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience involving:
Relational databases and data entity relationships
Integrated Information systems
Enterprise reporting /business intelligence tool
HTML and data driven web applications
A minimum of six (6) months experience with the following:
SQL select statements
Master's Degree in related field
Experience with the following:
Ellucian's Banner Student Information System
Student financial aid or student accounts (bursar) at a post-secondary institution
ARGOS or Power BI reporting tools
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated working knowledge and ability to operate a PC and understand and utilize basic business software.
Knowledge of standard office procedures and operations.
Ability, with training, to learn and understand and creation of SQL script to perform business functions.
Ability to understand reporting tools and create detailed reports.
Experience with the support of a mission-critical software system.
Ability to learn and understand complex systems.
Ability, with training, to use SQL to create population selections and maintain tracking, budgeting and packaging rules.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to create and implement test plans and properly interpret test results.
Ability to transform user requirements into a technical solution.
Capable of researching information to properly utilize new and updated system functionality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret data.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and understanding of new business applications.
Valid driver's license.
